PURPOSE:To decrease the warm-up time, by starting the function of a heating means and turning both a heating member and a pressure member in cooperation with each other after the surface temperature of the heating member reaches a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:Both a heating roll 1 and a pressure roll 7 are turned in cooperation with each other for a prescribed period of time after the surface temperature of the roll 1 reaches a prescribed level and after a power supply is applied. In other words, when the potential V6 corresponding to the surface temperature of the roll 1 becomes higher than the reference potential VR after a main switch S1 is turned on, both the roll 1 and the roll 7 turn in cooperation with each other just for the time DELTAt by the changing signal. Thus the heat can be used with high efficiency to increase the surface temperature of the roll 7. At the same time, the surface temperature is never lowered extremely to attain the good fixing enable state in a short time. In such way, the warm-up time is decreased. |
