The invention relates to a polishing machine for polishing a workpiece cutout, having a polishing tool which is adapted to the contour of the cutout and is seated on the free end of a cylindrical tool holder which can be coupled to the spindle of the polishing machine and, by means of the spindle, can move such that it oscillates axially back and forth. The tool holder is essentially composed of a cylindrical tube, with a tension bolt arranged therein, and of a flexible ring which is arranged at its free end, between the end border of the cylindrical tube and the head of the tension bolt. The external diameter of the ring is greater than the diameter of the cylindrical tube. The end of the tool holder with the flexible ring can be inserted into a bore of the polishing tool, and the ring can be squeezed by means of the tension bolt such that a friction fit results between flexible ring and bore of the polishing tool.
