In this laundry drier equipped with an electronic program-control device, an indicator is provided, telling the user whether the laundry drier is working economically as a result of a sufficient loading of the laundry drier. This is intended to oblige the user to operate the laundry drier in an energy-saving manner. To determine the efficiency, there are arranged, in the drying-air conduit of the laundry drier, sensors which measure the drying-air temperature at their measuring points. The measured values are evaluated via a measurement transducer and the computer of the program-control device and are indicated.
