PURPOSE:To provide an electrode which is structurally tough and is easy to handle by forming an ion selective sensitive film on the surface of an electrode body in contact with a sample soln. CONSTITUTION:One piece of pipe 12 is penetrated through a case 11 of an electrode body formed of a material such as plastics, glass or metal. A sensitive film 4 prepd. by coating a mixture of an ion sensitive material and PVC dissolved with tetrahydrofuran and allowing the solvent to evaporate and dry is stuck and formed over the entire inside surface of the body 11. Electrolyte 2 of a known conc. of ions responding to the sensitive film and an internal electrode 1 are put in the body 11. If a sample liquid is flowed through the pipe 12 into the electrode constituted in this way, the potential difference corresponding to the activity of the intended ions in the sample soln. is generated between the sample soln. and the sensitive film 4 on the inside surface of the pipe 12. |
