PURPOSE:To detect the error operation of a storage device by detecting the existence of an error in address information on the basis of the address information, data read from a storing division selected by the address information and an error correction code and discriminating whether the data can be corrected or not by the detected output. CONSTITUTION:An error correcting system is provided with an error correction code generating circuit 2 which generates an error correction code on the basis of a data and address information selecting a storing division for writing the data and an error correction detecting circuit 5 which detects the existence of an error in the address information on the basis of the address information and a data error correcting codes read out from respective storing divisions selected 4 by the address information. A detected output Err of the detecting circuit 5 discriminates whether the data can be corrected or not. |
