PURPOSE:To flow constant current in each winding of excited phases, by driving each of three transistors to be conductive on particularly different conditions, when a 5-phase pulse motor is driven by pentagon drive system. CONSTITUTION:Windings 11-15 make a ring-like connection. Their junctions are connected to five pairs of transistors 1, 2, etc. Three out of ten transistors are conducted, and the others are cut OFF. The composite field rotates by changing such combination. A control circuit is provided to include a selector 22 to input 4-bit information C of a decimal counter 21 and 10-bit selected information. Three transistors to be conductive are so driven that one turns completely ON, one turns ON and OFF, and one turns ON and OFF after turning ON for a certain period of time. Therefore, the current flows nearly constantly in the winding of excited phase. As a result, the revolution can be smoothed. |
