<p>The lifting gear is vertical, with an open frame (1,2). There are four jacks, at each corner to press on the ground (6,7) and lift (8) the load. The lifting stresses are not transmitted to the frame or the running gear (3,4). Movement of jacks on the same side (front or rear) are synchronised by a flexible transmission. The load is held by soft parts allowing movement in a horizontal plane. The control of the front lifting gear is independent of that of the rear.</p> |
