In the method of producing a model (34) for dental prosthetic work with at least one epimobile attachment (5) of a jaw implant which can be fastened on an implant body embedded in the jaw, a transmission cap (18) is initially pushed tightly over the epimobile attachment (5) built up over the implant body in the mouth, and by this a mould (33) with the transmission cap (18) firmly embedded in the moulding composition is obtained by impression in the mouth. The mould (33) is then peeled off with the transmission cap (18) and the epimobile attachment (5) which has been released from the implant body and has instead been connected to a laboratory implant (11) simulating the implant body is repositioned in the transmission cap (18) outside the mouth. Finally, the mould (33) fitted in this way with the laboratory implant (11) is poured in order to obtain the model (34), and at the same time the laboratory implant (11) is firmly cast into the model body. The model (34) thus obtained reflects very closely the situation in the mouth. The method ensures that the epimobile attachment (5) in the model (34) sits in exactly the same position on the laboratory implant (11) as in the mouth on the implant body embedded in the jaw. <IMAGE>
