<p>PURPOSE:To easily adjust wear in an electromagnetic clutch, by such constitution that the wear in a friction surface can be simply and surely corrected in manual work. CONSTITUTION:When friction surfaces 2a, 32a are worn to a prescribed amount, a stop screw 18 is loosened to rotate a sheet of shim 22 at a right end to a prescribed angle. Engagement of the shim 22 to a fixed ring 20 is released to remove the shim 22, and then the stop screw 18 is firmly retightened. If the shim 22 is removed by a sheet, an intermediate plate 12 is separated by thickness of the shim 22 from the flange part of a hub 6, and an air gap between opposite sides of the flange part of the hub 6 and the intermediate plate 12 is spread by the removal amount of the shim. Then an armature 32 is approximated to a direction of the friction surface 2a by the thickness of one sheet of the shim 22, in this way, the friction surfaces 2a, 32a can be corrected their wearing amount.</p> |
