PURPOSE:To hold gaps between a brake disc and friction pads to an adequate amount at release of a brake, by shifting the friction pads little by little to the brake disc in relation with movement of a wedge performing operation and release of the brake. CONSTITUTION:If the rod of a thruster 1 is lifted, a link 2 is turned counter clockwise about a pin 4 as the center, and a pin 31 of the link 2 is engaged to a notch 3a in a wedge lever 3. If the rod of the thruster 1 is further lifted, the wedge lever 3 is turned counter clockwise about a guide shaft 9 as the center integrally with the link 2, and a wedge 5 is intruded between rollers 10 to press expand each of the arms 7. At release of a brake, the wedge 5 is moved left upward to lift an engagement element 32, successively in a follow-up state an adjusting lever 18 is turned by tension of springs 25, then the friction pads 15 are pressed to the side of a brake disc 16 by screw motion of screw shafts 26. |
