PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance and ensure beauty of external appearance and function of band for a long time by forming a metallic film on the surface of a metallic wire, heating at high temperature, and forming to a mesh band for watch after providing a diffusion layer on the surface of a element wire. CONSTITUTION:A metallic film 2 of Ni, Cr, Pd, Au etc. is formed on a mesh band element wire 1 and heated in nonoxidizing atmospher at a temperature above recrystallization temperature of the wire 1 to provide a diffusion layer 3 on the surface of the wire 1. Then, the wire 1 is woven to make a mesh, cut and formed to the shape of a band. After finishing the surface, finish plating is made with Au-Ni etc. By this way, generation of rust from inside of the band can be prevented. |
