PURPOSE:To eliminate such as evil influence as deterioration in performance during image fixation by lowering thermal conductivity to the main body of a copying machine by interposing a heat insulating material between the main body of a copying machine and a fixing device. CONSTITUTION:During the thermal fixation of an image, heat radiated from a heat roller 22 is conducted to the bottom plate 1a of the main body of a copying machine 1 through the base 18 of a fixing device 17, but a heat insulating material 19 is interposed between the base 18 and bottom plate 1a. Thermal conduction to the main body of a copying machine 1 is therefore inhibited and consequently, neither a photoreceptor 2 nor a charger 3 is damaged thermally. |
