<p>The disc brake used in motor vehicles has an hydraulic actuator for pads engaging a rotating disc. The brake force accommodating assembly (5) has plates (6, 7) with guide faces. The latter accommodate the reaction of braking force acting on brake pads (11) during braking. The two round plates carry brake pads (11) on their inner rim faces in diametrically opposite positions. The pads are moved against disc (1) faces by hydraulic cylinders (16) with pistons (18).</p> |
