WELDING ELECTRODE DISPENSER

A portable dispenser(10) for welding electrode rods includes a tubular casing(12) with a top end cap having an axial opening allowing dispensing of a single rod on manual actuation of a reciprocable pusher engaging the rod lower end. A friction grip disc (32) normally closes the cap opening but permits passage of a rod and grips a partly-dispersed rod to prevent it falling back into the casing. The rods are held in a top compartment of the casing defined at the lower end by a dise through which the pusher extends The disc is movable by the pusher engaging a cam so that it rises and then falls to provide a mechanical shock preventing the electrodes jamming.
