PURPOSE:To maintain photographic performance and the processing performance of a developing soln. contg. polyethylene glycol of specific mol. wts., bromide ions, and paraphenylene diamine for a long period of time by processing a silver halide photographic material with said soln. under heating. CONSTITUTION:A developing soln. is prepd. by contg. >=1g/l polyethylene glycol of 1,000-6.000 average mol. wts., and >=0.0, mol/l bromide ions, and compounding the same with a paraphenylene diamine color developing agent. A silver halide color photographic material is continuously processed at above 33 deg.C processing temp. by using said developing soln. Good results are obtained if a brightening agent of bis-triazynyl diaminostilbenzene type is added, by which the brightening effect can be maintained for a long period of time. Hydrobromic acid, lithium bromide, potassium bromide, etc. are used for the supply source of bromide ions. |
