PURPOSE:To reverse a head surely with simple constitution, by providing an intermediate gear which is possible for coupling and detaching to a pair of rotating shafts having opposite direction of rotation each other and forwarding and reversing a center gear coupled with the intermediate gear. CONSTITUTION:When a tape is wound up to its end through the rolling contact of a pinch roller and a capstan, the two are detached with a signal of a detecting circuit and a plunger 22a is turned on. Thus, an intermediate gear 10a is shifted, bevel gears 6a and 12a are geared, the gear 10a is turned clockwise, and a center gear 13 turns counterclockwise. When the center gear turns by >=90 deg., it further turns by 90 deg. with a toggle spring 18. A magnetic head 16 fitted to a shaft 14 is reversed through the reversing of the center gear to switch the track of the tape from forward to reverse. Thus, the magnetic head can be reversed surely with simple constitution. |
