To prepare a mixture of sulphurised, polyunsaturated fatty acids or triglycerides synthesised from such fatty acids, the same are mixed with an excess of sublimed sulphur and then kept with heating for an adequately long time with stirring at 90 to 130 DEG C to carry out the sulphur uptake. The mixture is then cooled to room temperature. Unreacted sulphur is either separated off or left in the liquid mixture. If the mixture is allowed to stand without separation of the unreacted sulphur, it additionally takes up further sulphur. Sulphurised, polyunsaturated product mixtures result which contain from 0.1 up to 2.5% by weight of sulphur. The polyunsaturated oil employed can be sesame oil. The sulphurised products of this type are used in capsules for the temporary interruption of the need for alcohol.
