PURPOSE:To prevent the erosion of a feed water heater and pipes, by providing a humidity separator in the bent part of the bleeding pipe of a steam turbine and conducting the drained water from the humidity separator to a bleeding pipe, the pressure in which is one stage lower than that in the former bleeding pipe, to separate the water from steam. CONSTITUTION:A humidity separator 33 is provided in the bent part 31 of a bleeding pipe 32. The humidity separator 33 and a bleeding pipe 34, the pressure in which is lower than that in the separator, are connected to each other through a drain pipe 36 provided with a pressure regulator 35. The humidity separator 33 comprises slits slits 37 provided in the prescribed outflow section of the bent pipe 31 and a drain passage 39 defined by a cover plate 38. Water in the bleeding pipe 32 (34) is thus drained to prevent a feed water heater and pipes from being eroded due to the mixture of water and steam which differ in density from each other. Some of the drained water is flashed to recover heat to heighten the thermal efficiency. |
