PURPOSE:To ensure the effective lead-in of beam into an optical conductor, by melting the end face of the optical conductor by the beam or the electromagnetic wave and then finishing the end face into a mirror surface by means of the surface tension. CONSTITUTION:The beam (or electromagnetic wave) given from a laser beam source 1 is irradiated on the end face 2a of an optical conductor 2 to be melted and then finished into a mirror surface by means of the surace tension. As a result, the beam can be led effectively into the conductor 2. |
