PURPOSE:To carry out the pickling operation without damaging the springiness of a vegetable, by making the load per unit length applied to the vegetable of sliding rollers in a pickling part and the number of the reciprocation of the rollers in specific ranges. CONSTITUTION:A motor is driven to reciprocate a sliding body 24 in a linear motion, and a load is applied to rollers 30 by a pressing plate 51. The rollers 30 are reciprocated in a linear motion while revolved to transmit the revolution thereof through a roller cover 44 and a diaphragm body 49 to a vegetable 80. The load (P) (kg/cm) per unit length of the rollers 30 and the number of the reciprocative rubbing times (N) (r.p.m.) are set in the following range: PXN =(5-30)r.p.m..kg/cm. |
