<p>The machine modifies timber window frames (1) in preparation for the mounting of secondary glazing. It comprises a table (2) with clamps (9) for the work and a frame supporting the tool-head (11). A milling tool (4) and a feeler (3) are mounted on the bottom of the head, the latter being capable of orbital movements centred on the tool. The head is height-adjustable and can travel in a longitudinal direction along rails (5,6) incorporated in a beam which travels on rails (17) located inside transversely aligned overhead box section cantilevers (7). The feeler may move through quarter circular arcs, may be manipulated by a handle (13), and may include a locking mechanism. The head is moved by another handle (12) or a motor.</p> |
