Application of contact magenta gravure screen to the screen roller of a colour separation unit (scanner) and conventional contact exposure of a commercial lith film through said contact magenta gravure screen produces a gravure screen diapositive which mathematically and linearly has a dot structure of 1-100 per cent, the positive gravure screen cell wall being included in the calculation.
