The solar heat collector is constructed in modular form and comprises an outer container off fixed (18) to the roof trusses (5). The container has a transparent cover (14) and houses the absorber (15) and cooling pipes (16). The pipes of the modules are connected to form a continuous fluid circuit. The modules are covered with tiles or slates (4) which may be transparent or translucent to give a double glazed effect.
