PURPOSE:To minimize the possibility that an ink escape space is filled with an ink, by a method wherein one cavity allowing all printing wires to commonly go across is formed in a wire guide in the vicinity of the other end of the printing wire inserted into a through hole slenderly in the longitudinal direction of the printing wire. CONSTITUTION:An ink impregnated into an ink ribbon 5 gradually adheres to the side face of a wire 2 to invade into a through hole 25b. Since a cavity 21 is formed in a wire guide 25, the ink soon advances to the cavity 21. The viscosity of the ink prevents the ink from flowing toward a base 2a of the printing wire 2 and makes the ink adhere to the wire 2 in nodule form at the portion of the cavity 21. The cavity 21 is a large-capacity space formed slender in the longitudinal direction of the printing wire 2. Therefore, there is a minimum possibility that the cavity 21 is filled up with the nodule-form ink in a short time and, as a result, the ink invades into the through hole 25b disposed downwards of the cavity 21. |
