PURPOSE:To reduce contacting of a reset cam with a hammer and to decrease friction and noise, by installing a retreating cam, which retreats a hammer from a reset cam at every one printing period, at a hammer resetter for a printer such as portable computers. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnetic means 36, releasing a hammer 12 from a state to wait for a printing based upon a printing command, are mounted to a printer which incorporates a hammer resetter, each means being positioned at every 3 columns. A hammer 12, selected by a reset cam 20 and the electromagnetic means 36, is driven for hammering a type drum 10 with it to print a desired and selected type. Then, the hammer 12 is reset to a state to wait for printing and at each type through the turning of the reset cam 20. The hammer 12, however, is retreated from the reset cam 20 at every one printing period by means of a retreating cam 42, and this permits a perfect prevention of a contacting action thereof. |
