A method for the layering and preparation of sand or aggregate for the laying of a sand bed, especially for a floating floor. The sand is tipped into a sump receptacle (1) from which it is extracted by the barrow load from a conveyor belt (4). Prior to withdrawal from the belt, the sand is treated with a sodium silicate along with water in such a way as to achieve the required moisture level in the sand.<IMAGE> |
