PURPOSE:To enable to automaticalled embed a metallic insert into a resin by a method wherein one of molds for insert molding is provided with an attracting pin in which a magnet is incorporated, and a movable pin for holding a metallic insert is provided instead of the attracting pin at the time of closing the mold. CONSTITUTION:When a movable mold 2 is retracted and the mold is opened, a slide plate 13 is pushed upward by a spring 14, and the attracting pin 9 and a falling pin 15 are projected into a cavity 5 and above a parting line 3, respectively. Under this condition, the outside periphery of the metallic insert 6 is brought into contact with the pin 9. Then, the mold 2 is advanced, and the movable pin 12 is advanced together with a slide block 11 to engage with the insert 6. When the mold is finally closed, the attracting pin 9 and the falling pin 15 are depressed, so that the insert 6 is held by the movable pin 12 in the condition of being floated in the interior of the cavity 5. |
