PURPOSE:To reduce damage of input and output ends and to increase the entire flexibility, by summing fibers of equal length in which input and output ends are of regular hexagon section and center is of circular cross section, and branching the center. CONSTITUTION:An incoming end A and an outgoing end C are formed by mutually putting closely together inputs and outputs of fibers having regular hezagon as cross section, an intermediate part B consists of three fibers f1-f3, and the cross section is formed circular. The outermost part 5 is a clad, and a part within a circle 6 forms a core passing through laser beam. The relation of S>=S1+ S2+S3 is in existence, where S is the cross section of incoming end and S1+ S2+S3 is sum of cross sectional areas of the fibers f1-f3 at the center so that the incoming laser beam is fetched at the intermediate part and outputted from the outgoing end. Thus, the damage of incoming and outgoing ends can be reduced and the entire flexibility can be increased. |
