PURPOSE:To make possible casting without oscillation of mold and addition of lubricant and achieve the complete elimination of slab defects occuring therein by using the composite plated copper mold comprising causing dispersion and eutectic of solid lubricant in plating film in continuous casting of steel. CONSTITUTION:In performing continuous casting of steel, pouring is done by using the copper mold applied with the composite plating comprising causing dispersion and eutectic of solid lubricant such as zinc fluoride, molybdenum disulfide, boron nitride or graphite in plating film of Cr, Ni or Co. |
