The deflection element has a belt guiding slot (13a) including a belt passage section (13), and a lining part fixed to a single-piece metal body (11) in a form fit manner. The lining part is made of plastic and has a single-piece displacement section defining gap width for passage of a safety belt via the slot. A flexibility providing weak spot is provided on the lining part. The lining part has a section including a fastening eye (12), and another section for receiving the belt passage section.
