PURPOSE:To convert a KANA sentence into a sentence containing Chinese characters, by measuring the input time interval between KANA letters during the input of KANA letters and then making use of the length of the input time interval. CONSTITUTION:It is supposed that a KANA train is supplied to a KANA input part 1. Thus at an input process part 4, the time elapsed after the immediately preceding KANA letter is supplied is measured at a time measuring part 2 through a time measurement control part 3 and every time a KANA letter is supplied. The result of this measurement is stored successively in a storage part 5. The time interval for the KANA position is stored to the input KANA train. A converting part 7 performs the KANA-Chinese character conversion to the input KANA train. Then the KANA position is applied to a deciding part 6. At the part 6 the corresponding time interval is read out of the part 5, and the comparison between this time interval and a prescribed time interval difference is informed to the part 7. |
