PURPOSE:To prevent the blocking of a plurality of ink jetting holes simultaneously in a simple system and to assure stable recording at all times, by arranging an ink absorbing body on the surface of a cap facing the ink jetting holes of heads. CONSTITUTION:The cap 209 is always attracted to the side of a head attaching plate 217 by a spring 210 and contacted with a contact adjusting plate 213 and a part of a roller 212 which is attached to the tip of the plate 213. The heads 214 are intimately contacted with a porous body 215 which has ink absorbing property, comprises felt or various types of sponges, and is attched to the inside of the cap 209 in order to suck the ink. When the head 214 has stopped the recording operation, the attaching plate 217 is moved back to a specified position. At this time, the cap 209 is contacted with the roller 212, and smoothly returned to the original position by the contracting force of a spring 210. Thus all the heads 214 are capped. |
