The device has a ring (7) with projections, preferably teeth, on the outside, extending outwards over 360 DEG , by which it can be rotated in relation to a cylinder (4), to adjust its relative position, this adjusting device being used to transmit the brake application force from one brake shoe to the other. An elbow lever (10) is hinged at one end to a toothed rack (9) meshing with ring (7), and at its other end to brake shoe (3). When the brake is actuated and after utilising free play in elongated holes (13, 16), lever (10) causes rotating of ring (7). Lever (10) may be actuated by a lever incorporated in a parking brake. Fig. 5 illustrates a securing component (17) engaging ring (7) and having four locking ends (18-21) staggered with respect to the teeth thereof. <IMAGE> |
