PURPOSE:To increase the through-put of a controller and a channel, by resetting interruption after write-in of format and setting an interruption control latch for the start before the end of erase, in an interruption control for discs and the like. CONSTITUTION:A disc device 18 is connected to a channel via an upper rank controller 1. When a CCW chain is finished for format write-in, an interruption reset signal 10 is outputted from a tag decoder 2, an erase finish interruption latch 7 and an interruption control latch 3 are reset to suppress erase completion interruption. On the other hand, if a new start is given to the device 18 before the end of erase operation, the device 1 tentatively stops the start and issues a tag signal for interruption set. Thus, the decoder 2 outputs an interruption set signal 11 to set the latch 3. Thus, an interruption latch 6 is set with the output of a sector counter 4 and an interruption signal 17 is transmitted to the device 1. The through-put can be increased by simplifying the interruption control. |
