<p>The pipe union comprises a bush in which the ends of the pipes to be connected are inserted, and clamping members securing them in place. The members (3) are in the form of washers, whose edge (7) round the hole is pressed out to form a cone portion. The bush (1) can have a narrowed annular portion (2) at the middle, forming a stop for the pipe ends (4) inserted in it. It can be formed by a length of pipe, widened except at the middle portion, or alternatively instead of a bush one end of one pipe can be widened, and the end of the other inserted in it.</p> |
