<p>This invention relates to a process for the preparation of polyether polyols from a water-soluble polyhydric initiator which comprises charging a reactor with the water-sol-uble initiator, water and ammonia or an alkanolamine or a primary alkyl amine or alkylene diamine mixing and reacting ethylene oxide and an alkylene oxide having three or four carbon atoms at elevated temperature , not greater than about 110.degree.C., and pressure to yield a polyether polyol, said reaction occuring absent an added catalyst.</p> |
