<p>PURPOSE:To control the packet switching metwork without changing the control of a host computer, by giving a packet control layer to the layered structure of the communication function. CONSTITUTION:In case of two paths of a packet layers and one path of a DLC layer, (2+1) lines are determined by a host computer CPU, and protocols of path set and release of the DLC of which the host computer CPU is conscious correspond to path set and release of the DLC layer and path set and release of the packet layer in a communication control device CCU, thereby controlling the network. For example, setting of the path of the DLC layer for one line (for correspondence with the DLC) is requested on the host computer, and the communication control device sets the DLC path on a basis of this setting. Setting of the path of the physical layer/DLC layer for two lines (for correspondence with a packet) is requested on the host computer, and the communication control device sets paths of the packet layer on a basis of this setting.</p> |
