PURPOSE:To improve the thermal developability and to obtain a high density and low fog image, that is, an image having a high S/N ratio in a short time by incorporating a specified compd. as a hot solvent into a photosensitive or nonphotosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:An image is formed on a thermally developable photosensitive material made of a photosensitive element having a photosensitive layer or further having a nonphotosensitive layer such as an intermediate layer, an underlayer or a protective layer on a support by transferring a diffusible image forming compd. such as a dye. The photosensitive layer is composed of photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a binder and a compd. represented by formula 1 (where each of R<1> and R<2> is H atom, alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group, R<3> is H atom or alkyl group, (m) is 1 or 2 and (n) is an integer of 1-4). The photosensitive material has improved thermal developability, gives a high density and low fog image in a short time and also has satisfactory raw stock preservability and superior physical properties. |
