PURPOSE:To obtain desired characteristics, by storing a peak-to-peak value of an input signal and subjecting this value to code conversion. CONSTITUTION:The sound signal applied to an input terminal 10 is amplified to a proper level by a buffer amplifier 11 and is inputted to a variable amplifier 13. The variable amplifier 13 has the gain controlled by digital data. The output of the buffer amplifier 11 is connected to a peak-to-peak value detecting circuit 18. The peak-to-peak value is converted to digital data by an analogue-digital converting circuit 22 after being stored for a constant time. This digital data is converted to digital data for obtaining a characteristic output by a code converter 24. The gain of the variable amplifier 13 is controlled by this converted data. |
