An apparatus for straightening stiff finger joints comprises a supporting part 10, for clamping to the hand or forearm of the patient, and up to three pressure members 15, each fitted to a respective stiff bearing piece 14, for bearing against and applying pressure to a respective finger piece. The bearing pieces are connected to one another and to the supporting part 10 by connecting spring elements 12, which endeavour to bring the pressure members 15 into mutual alignment. The stiff bearing pieces 14 are of a length such that the spring elements cannot get to press against the knuckles. The apparatus makes it possible to relieve pressure on a healthy joint by virtue of the fact that the spring element situated level with this joint is fixed by means of a relatively stiff rod-shaped or tubular member fitted inside or around the spring element. <IMAGE>
