PURPOSE:To surely remove the porous plug of a ladle for bottom blowing in a short time by piercing a hole in the plug at the central part, inserting a pulling- out rod having a slipping-out stopper at the tip in the hole, and applying a shock. CONSTITUTION:When the bottom porous plug 5 of a ladle 1 is exchanged, the ladle 1 is turned sideways, and a through hole 10 is pierced in the plug 5 at the central position from the bottom 1a side in the axial direction by means of a crown cutter. A pulling-out rod 12 having a slipping-out stopper 11 is inserted in the hole 10, and the stopper 11 is expanded and brought into contact with a face of the plug 5. By applying a shock to the side edge face 5a of the inside 1b of the bottom of the ladle 1 with a vibration shock machine 8, the plug 5 is easily pulled out. Thus, the plug is simply pulled out and exchanged in a short time. |
