The system is for fastening wheel guides in the frog area of points and crossovers. An element, resiliently elastic both transversely and lengthways, is located between the wheel guide and holder. The spring element is elastic in three dimensions and forms the carrier for the wheel guide. The wheel guide, not lying on top, is fitted with safety stops for all lengthways and transverse movements. The spring element can be made of elastomer, esp. rubber, vulcanised between a rigid sheath and a core.
