<p>A baking oven has between the muffle flange and the oven door a continuous seal of heat-resistant elastic material. The seal is fixed either to the muffle flange or to the inside of the door with a 5-10% mechanical prestress. The fixtures, e.g. hooks have a fair distance from each other, esp. in the corner areas. This permits the seal to expand, esp. when the muffle is kept at a higher temp. for a pyrolytic burn-off of the carbon deposits. The distortions of the seal are eliminated.</p> |
