PURPOSE:To achieve a magnetic head with stable electromagnetic conversion characteristics, less in dispersion and ease of manufacture, by inserting a nonmagnetic substance spacer between a dummy member and a back core. CONSTITUTION:A front core 1 of magnetic substance having a magnetic gap and a dummy member 3 being a sliding surface with a magnetic recording medium are bonded with a nonmagnetic substance plate 4, and a coil bobbin 5 with winding and a back core 2 consisting of a magnetic substance bonding a nonmagnetic substance spacer 7 to the tip are attached to the front core 1, the assembly is inserted to a shield case 6, to constitute a magnetic head through terminal processing. The gap between the dummy member 3 and the back core 2 can be kept surely, by inserting the spacer between the opposing part of the member 3 and the back core 2, and the magnetic head with stable electromagnetic conversion characteristics, less in dispersion and ease of manufacture, can be achieved. The electromagnetic conversion characteristics and the stability of the magnetic head can easily be controlled, by controlling the thickness and accuracy of the nonmagnetic substance spacer. |
