<p>A cylindrical paint application roller of flexible open celled (polyurethane) foam has a superficial pattern of intersecting helical channels. Increases the capacity of the roller to hold and spread gelified or thixotropic paints. Pref. the pattern involves pairs of channels of opposing twists, the depths of each channel being approx. half the thickness of the roller surface wall. The surface may also feature superficial isolated (cylindrical) recesses, some of which may be intersected by the helical channels.</p> |
