The bathroom shower head has a base movable in relation to the housing so as to produce two different jet patterns. In the housing (12) of the head (1) is a hollow cylinder (21) with a closed end wall (211) protruding into an inflow chamber (22) upstream, and connected to the chamber by radial ports (213) in its periphery (212) near the base (4). A piston (3) with an axial bore (31) through it slides axially in the cylinder and is joined to the base. Dependent on the piston position in relation to the ports, it either deflects or throttles the flow of water.
