发明名称 PRODUCTION OF FERROSILICON ALLOY STRIP
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a ferrosilicon alloy strip wherein easy magnetization axes are oriented in two directions easily by solidifying the melt of a ferrosilicon alloy in a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Four pices of magnets 5 are disposed to a cylindrical rotator 4 consisting of a nonmagnetic material in such a way that the magnetic poles of the magnets adjacent to the inside wall thereof respective at 90 deg. intervals are made respectively reverse and that the direction of the magnetic field goes roughly in the direction tangential to the rotating surface of the rotator 4. A nozzle 2a is brought closer onto the smooth rotating surface of the rotator 4, and the high ferrosilicon alloy melt 3 in a vessel 2 is ejected through the nozzle 2a, whereby the melt 3 is cooled and solidified in the magnetic field roughly parallel to the rotating surface, and a strip 7 of a high ferrosilicon alloy is obtained. The strip 7 obtained by the above is the biaxially oriented high silicon alloy strip oriented with the <100> which is the easy magnetization axis in the thickness direction of the strip and the <001> which is likewise the easy magnetization axis in the longitudinal direction.
