<p>1-sulfo-2-oxoazetidine derivatives represented by the following general formula:$(4,)$(wherein R represents an organic residue bound through a carbon atom, R1 represents an optionally acylated or protected amino group, X represents a hydrogen atom or a methoxy group), and a process for preparing the compounds (I) as schematically illustrated below:$(4,)$(wherein the symbols are as defined above). The compounds (I) show excellent antibacterial and β-lactamase-inhibiting action, thus being utilized as medicines for humans and domestic animals.</p> |
