The invention relates to an appliance for the purification of dielectric fluids, especially for electric-spark machines. The object of the invention is to achieve continuous through-flow operation and a hitherto impossible precipitation efficiency even for extremely small contaminant particles while minimising the consumption of electrical energy. To this end there is provided in the container (4) of the appliance a revolving sealing partition (10) which encloses an inner precipitation chamber (11) which consists of a plurality of parallel and of two transverse plate electrodes (2, 3) which are connected to one another and to a terminal of the source of the high d.c. voltage. Between each two parallel disc electrodes (2) there are arranged at regular intervals bar electrodes (1) which are mutually conducting and are connected to the other terminal of the high-voltage source. The interior of the container is subdivided by the sealing partition (10) into a space (5) for the contaminated fluid and into an upper space (6) for the purified fluid, into which the plate electrodes (2, 3) project with their horizontal upper rim which is disposed above the outflow port (9). <IMAGE>
