The carrier ring of the plastics container fits coaxially into the pouring spout. A vent tube, integral with this ring, extends into the interior. A reinforcing sleeve is arranged around the spout and the ring is retained to prevent its rotation and axial movement in the spout. Axial movement is prevented by a low annular collar on the ring which forms a snap-in connection with an annular groove inside the spout. Rotation is prevented by a flat on the outside of the ring engaging a corresponding face provided inside the spout.PS.
